Does Death Come in Threes?

June 25, 2009 at 4:06 pm
By Staff

You may have heard that Ed McMahon died several days ago, and today brought tidings of the passing of Farrah Fawcett and Michael Jackson … so is there truth to the adage “death comes in threes?”

History has countless similar stories. On November 22, 1963 John F. Kennedy, Aldous Huxley and C.S. Lewis all died.

Obviously people die every day but it seems to be especially shocking when the famous, those seemingly invincible stars that we admire, show that they are made of the same stuff as the rest of us.

R.I.P.

    Hi Gina Rose,
    I hadn’t heard about Steve McNair…what a sad shame.
I hope you’re enjoying the holiday. I’m spending it home alone with just my mom, the two dogs, and the bunny * * * Oh yeah, and a glass or two of wine. Manny & the girls are in New Mexico, and my son is working at the restaurant.
(FYI…I saw “Mr. Karma” this morning, but everything was still the same as usual. No change was indicated, as of yet.) :(

    Hi Gina Rose,
Actually, Karl Malden was #6…Fred Travalena, a famous Las Vegas impersonator who appeared on the Tonight Show during his career, died last Sunday, same day as Billy Mays.
When Karl Malden died, Manny called me to tell me that I’d gotten my “#6″ …weird.
    Ciao,
    Fran

Karl Malden died today……that makes #5…..let’s hope it doesn’t go to 6 , or double three’s.
Interesting side note: Karl was married to the same woman for 70 years.

    Hi Michelle,
Not to take away from Michael Jackson’s stunning death…..what a great loss, the world over….
But…just a thought, you know who Billy Mays reminded me of ???? The character ” AL ” in the series Home Improvement with Tim Allen. He was just an al’round nice guy.

    AstroSurfer
It comes in 3′s in Hollywood It has always come in 3′s all through my lifetime … The last time in my life it happened went like this My Mom 6 months later My dad 3 months later my beloved Sister Inlaw. She was the only one we where expecting to go. When I visit their resting place It’s 3. When I lost my childhood friends in come in 3′s. As I got older it spread in all directions of friends and family but it was always in 3′s. May they all R.I.P All are missed but never to be forgotten.

Some people are uniquely beautiful and often just as delicate, like magnificent flowers blooming for a short season and gone as quickly as they appeared. But their splendor lives on in the memories of those who care to appreciate and to remember that true and unique beauty.

It seems that it does come in 3′s not only celebrities though and not always do celebrities die in 3′s. I hardly ever watch the news anymore because it’s always so sad but last night I did…..It blew my mind about Michael. I watched the vidoes they had on and how incredibly talented this man was. Yet he had a tortured soul in many ways he is now free from that. He will be missed by many and its so sad for his children. Farrah a beautiful soul herself who fought the battle of cancer so fearlessly now feels no more pain in the physical way. Ed had a wonderful colorful healthy full life now has his final resting place. Have peace in knowing they are in the angels hands now where no pain or hurt exists.
    All 3 are National treasures.
    Many Blessings
    ~Abigail~

Michael used his musical talents in many of his songs and music videos to open our eyes and hearts to what’s going on around us and abroad. In hope to make a change and difference of how we treat each other and not to judge in hope to change humanities eyes to see that its time to make changes for the positive because we cant keep going on like this, war, hate, jealousy, lies, all contributing to hurt, pain, and self destruction.

Blessing to them and there families….

Thanks for your thoughtful InMemoriam for the trio of passings. It is important to reflect on as we are all immortal and shall pass too. All form is impermanent, even those that seem larger than life. I love and will always love Michael Jackson’s music.
    Thanks Jen!

He is loved all of the world. I feel he sees this now, as he crossed over.
We can’t worry about the people out there who don’t like us, we need to focus on the folks that do like us.
I feel bad that Jackson was picked on.
    He was a music master.
I also loved watching the Jackson five cartoon when I was kid. I can see why the kids today would like Jackson. His music could appeal to all people.
He will be with us always in spirit. His music will never die. There will never be another Michael Jackson.
    Miss Krystal

Three wonderful lights in the sky, to be missed here on earth ahnd appreciated for the gifts they gave while they were here.
It’s been my experience that deaths in threes are quite common.

I am truly saddened by the loss of Farrah, Michael and Ed. Their contributions to life will remain with us all of our lives.
It’s ironic, but while we were watching the news, my mother said that now we should expect a third celebrity to leave us as well. My 19 yr. old son asked her what she meant by that. We both replied that whenever a celebrity passes away, it always “happens in 3s.” It wasn’t until later in the evening that my friend reminded me that Ed McMahon had just recently passed.
Do I believe in death in 3s? I’d have to say yes.
I hope their families find peace and solace in the fact that their loved ones are in a beautiful place tonight.

Both deaths, on that exact date, had directly to do with how they lived their life and walked their Karmic path….they were being rewarded in a true Karmic way, by dying on that date, for their contribution to the independence of a nation….it was to remember them by with honor…it was NO coincidence.

I think deaths in a row have alot more to do with astrological movements…..than anything to do with numerical order…..so no, I do not believe in death coming in 3′s.
If you were to put all three of the natal charts of these three famous people in front of an astrologer, the natal charts would probably have shown the “when and how” of the deathsin each individual charts.
It is a shame though…I remember the yearthe thriller album came out and where i was and what i was doing…..they bring back memories….all three of these people.

Say what you will about his lifestyle, Michael Jackson was a true talent and will always be remembered for his contributions to life.
Everyone has redeeming qualities, and if anything else, he made my life more colorful with his strange sense of idealism.
The last few years have been hard on him, I hope that he’s at peace now.

Hi Miss Krystal and all others!
I am also so sad! It broke my heart to hear of Farah and then Michael Jackson later in the day. Really makes me sad :-(
Even my 9 yr old son loves Michael Jackson, that is quite an accomplishment! Like Miss Krystal, I have listened to Michael Jackson and the Jackson 5 all my life.
All three will be missed! I pray for all the loved ones left behind!
    Kathy

  27. Miss Krystal ext. 9192 June 25, 2009 at 5:39 pm

I think they were all wonderful. Legends.
I was never bored by any of them. True entertainers. This is so sad.
    God Bless them all-
I listen to michael jackson and the Jackson five my entire life. My favorite song was, “I never can say goodbye.”
    This is a hard one.
Yes, I have seen the “3″ thing happen before.
I guess it could be true.
    Thanks,
    Miss Krystal

It’s really weird when someone iconic passes away because there will be no more MJ concerts, every time you hear a song you’ll remember this day.. and I truly feel sorry for his young kids. I do feel like MJ had a full, crazy life and he was there to teach us what he did, and now its time for him to pass on. Very sad.

Even stranger about Thomas Jefferson and John Adams is that they died just a few hours apart. John Adams’s last words were “Thomas Jefferson still survives.” when, in fact, Thomas Jefferson died first. Thomas Jefferson just continued to ask everyone “is it July 4th?” as if he was in disbelief that he had made it.

I don’t know if anything comes in 3′s or not…and for everyone’s fortune, I hope it doesn’t. But what I do know, is that these 3 losses touch everyone’s heart. For me, Farrah always epitomized beauty, I always wished McMahon would come to my door, and well, Michael, Michael has a very special place in my heart and life. I will truly miss him as the amazing artist, dancer, and visionary that he was.

  33. Jen June 25, 2009 at 4:16 pm

I forgot to add that Thomas Jefferson and John Adams died on July 4, 1826 exactly 50 years after the Declaration of Independence! Not three but still strange.

the king of pop changed music and dance forever. even though he is gone, his influence lives on. i love you michael jackson.

I do find that I hear about deaths in threes a lot. I have my theories but I’m curious if any of the psychics believe there is significance in that number.
Today’s deaths are especially sad because they were still young in many ways but they certainly accomplished so much in their lifetimes. I can imagine that they’re not suffering now and at peace.

  36. littlekikistar June 25, 2009 at 4:11 pm

I still can’t believe that he’s gone, so soon after hearing about Farrah! They were too young and will both be missed… RIP :(
