Hey ST,
The “five of us” includes myself, my three kids, and my husband. My kids are getting big…my son is 19 (still lives at home, but goes to college and works part time), and my girls who are 15 and 12.
We live just outside of San Diego…the weather is nice all year round. Our winters are very mild. But I’ve gotten so used to it, that I FREEZE when it’s in the low 60′s!!! Hahaha!
I’m about 20-25 minutes away from the beach. It’s considered “inland” and it gets real HOT here in the summertime. I’m still getting used to it (after 22 years!!!).
My dream would be to live in a little cottage by the shore…you are very blessed.
Now I’m off to the store…gotta get something for dinner.

Just the other day, I was doing some research on Hilton Head, checking it out for a possible vacation spot!! But with 5 of us, it’s kinda expensive to fly, so we’re driving up to Santa Barbara instead (in a few weeks). Maybe next time.
I didn’t know about what happened between you and “D” in December. At least now I get it. You know what’s best for you, and it seems like you’ve got a good handle on it. Go for your walk, breathe in that gorgeous coastal air, and remember how awesome you are.

A Candle with water and fresh flowers is so perfect.
Remember that flame is alive and has been burning since the begining of time, you can also ask for the flames to help you in a time of need or as a request, and they (the spirits) are more willing to help you when you give an offerering.

Wow…. I would love to see a picture of your Christmas Tree with the Quartz Cristals as ornaments, the energy your beautiful tree would radiate.
What is so interesting is that the tree was a Wiccan tradition, so many ways either Native American or Wiccan has been incorporated into so many traditions.
I’m sure as with your beliefs the more we care for and respect “Mother Earth” the “Stone People” “The Water” “Plants” all of our “Family” the more they know us and recognize we are here to honor and respect them….

I found it very interesting to read that you always give back, even in prayers. You mentioned water, and tobacco. Can lighting a candle during a prayer be considered “giving back?” I like to light a candle, and incense, AND I usually have a bowl of fresh water and/or flowers on my angel altar as well.

I echo that…..in Wicca,we ALWAYS give back too.
For example….Our YULE sabbat ,
( Christmas )….the much
decorated ” christmas tree” was originally a Wiccan tradition….
Only we take a live seedling tree,or plant, decorate it with quartz crystals, or other ornaments …some are hand-made,….and then PLANT it back into the ground after the holiday is over with.
Always good to give back something..in every aspect of life.

I also wanted to share with you and I’m sure Wicca belief is similar, “Native Americans” believe that we (Which I speak for myself only since there are so many other beliefs) Honor “Mother Earth” we never take more than is needed and Always, Always use all that we take, using “everything”, even in our hunting, we honor the animals and plants by only taking what we need and then use all that we take….
One additional thing is we never just take, never, never, we always give back, even in our prayers we always give back, this is done with either water, corn meal, tobacco etc.

Thank you for sharing your knowledge with all of us, Gina Rose. I find it very interesting how everything seems to work on this giant cosmic clock. I am trying to set my timing right, and every little bit of information you impart is so helpful.
I love the sun. Unfortunately, I live in a place that isn’t exactly known for its sunny weather! LOL! But there is something so comforting about feeling the warmth of the sun to your very core. Your prayer felt like sitting peacefully and warming in the sun.

Everything said is exactly what I believe.
Native American Indian or at least for myself through my teachings I have been taught that as well as you, we too believe everything cycles around and all actions, words, thoughts, come back around 10x’s fold, I have been taught by a Grandmother when ever someone says something you don’t necessarily agree with or you perhaps may have another view point it is better to sit back and just say MUH! say nothing at all! give it no energy, don’t think about it, give it no life at all, because it will come back to you, full force!!!! and this is something I don’t choose to be apart of or even choose to a entertain.
This even encompass the way you treat others as your beliefs, treat others with respect, no judging, do not judge a man until you have walked in there moccasins for 4 moons!!!!
And NEVER, NEVER TELL A LIE!
