In response to “username”: Thank you so much for your post. I believe what you have written to be true. I had seemed to have forgotten what that soulmate connection felt like and how validatiing and important it was, until I recently reconnected with one of mine, (fortunately, for me I have two). Whenever I try to explain this soulmate feeling to someone they don’t seem to really understand what I’m talking about, or pretend not to. You explained it so well. Thanks for putting forward further evidence that I’m not “crazy.” LoL!

Have you ever heard the term “old souls”? These are usually mature, fascinating people.
I don’t believe there should be more than one soul mate in one’s life time. There should only be just one in my opinion; otherwise, what would make him / her different from all the rest? A soul mate to me, is someone totally differently to anyone you have ever met. Because, I have encounter, a genuinely connectlve individual, that I can honestly say that he is quite possibly be my soul mate. Otherwise, boyfriends and girlfriends alike once they have left you. they are gone from your mind. Your soul mate however, never leaves you, and they never push you away. You are highly intuitive together even when apart. The two of you always come back together — in this life time and the next… and it’s not because of the children you had with them, but they’re back because of “you” and the connection you have with him or her. They keep reconnecting with your soul… possibly life after life. This is my interpretation of a “soul” mate. It is a very special union and both of you would know it. It is usually a very highly compatible relationship, and no-one else could replace him or her,you much rather do without a partner.
A soul mate, even if you split up with them your body and mind wants to still be with this person. A good indication is when you split up, and the split up is never so terrible that you cannot get back together. Otherwise, don’t misinterpret abuse or guilt for a genuinely comforting soul you have connected with. This person should be your guardian angel.
I do believe meeting the same soul in a different life, because, when you look into their eyes, you feel a strong connection like it’s a Daja Vu. That connection is scary, exciting, almost hypnotic. Has anyone ever experienced this before?
I don’t mean to scare you, but, when we are talking old souls, we are speaking of a different phenomenon.

Situations and happiness can vary with each soulmate in every life.
For example, someone might have had wonderful very long term relationships with a certain soul mate in two lives.
Now they meet that person again and immediately feel the familiarity, the knowingness.
Will the same lovely life together happen again? What choices are best for us this time? How do we know we are making the best choices for our self?
We incarnate to experience, explore and enjoy.

Abigail, since you are a Clinical Hypnotherapist, have you utilized past life regressions to look at soul mate issues for clients? Or has soul mate troubles appeared when a client was regressed?
I’m curious because whenever I had a past life regression, different soulmate relationships seemed to be one of the main highlights of the experience. Thanks.

I want to thank you Abigail, you are so kind. I really like your blog picture, the sunlight shining on you shows both your inner and outer beauty to all of us.
I had to watch the video myself to see what it said! When I recorded it I answered spontaneously while I was “plugged in.”
So even though it’s my mind connected to my voice… the information was from my higher self on the other side. My guides also assisted me to keep me flowing.
You can visually see I am “listening” to the other side even when I am talking.

Another interesting thing… our main or primary soul mates will soon be changing! By our next lifetime most of us will have new soul mates.
We have already been developing those relationships in many lifetimes. I currently call those individuals secondary soulmates.
We often feel we have easier or more comfortable interactions with these secondary soulmates.

People often get disappointed if I tell them their love interest is not a soulmate. It doesn’t mean their relationship will be less happy or successful. There are soulmate couples that are divorced or ended their relationships on less than ecstatic terms.
Remember there are 6 billion people on our planet so we are definitely incarnating to have relationships and friendships with many other soul streams.

I feel soulmates are not just romantic. Anyway, I have of course, always noticed a certain dynamic that goes along with any soul connection-forgiveness. It appears that we tend to forgive those that we have felt an intense soul connection, because nothing on this earth is ever perfect…Not even soul connections. We always have some sort of lesson, regardless of all the joy these connections can bring. It’s hard to stay upset or hold grudges when we feel this type of connection. Just wanted to share…Thanks.
