A coworker sent me this poll, I don’t know if any of you are TV junkies at all but I for one love HBO Sunday night programming…so to start things off, half of my vote will be cast for Sookie Stackhouse on True Blood and the other half is for Miles on Lost. Because Lost rules it.

Who’s your favorite TV psychic? This poll lists:

Medium – Patricia Arquette as Alison DuBois

The Dead Zone – Anthony Michael Hall as John Smith

Heroes – Greg Grunberg as Matt Parkman

The Ghost Whisperer – Jennifer Love Hewitt as Melinda Gordan

Lost – Ken Leung – Miles Straum

The Mentalist – Simon Baker as Patrick Jane

Psych – James Roday as Shawn Spencer

True Blood – Anna Paquin as Sookie Stackhouse

As an actor and comedian and just a human being who enjoys a good laugh, I’ve become quite a fan of Tina Fey over the years. Her smart humor and unique style have brought her a lot of success especially recently with her show 30 rock (is it not brilliant and hysterical?!) With a not so secret desire to walk a similar path one day, I decided to check out her chart and see what makes her tick. Maybe I have similar planets or at least the same drive to make it happen. Sometimes I wear glasses? Does that count?

Anyway, back to the matter at hand, born May 18th, Tina (already on a first name basis!) has Sun in Taurus. One thing the bull is known for is their practical nature and the ability to work hard and be persistent in their goals. That sounds about right. Depending on what time Tina was born she could have Sun Opposition Neptune which makes her very imaginative and interested in the arts. Duh, she’s a comedic genius. She also has Sun Trine Pluto which means she has tons of inner strength and pursues her goals with passion and zeal. Hello? First female head writer of SNL, executive producer, writer and actress of 30 Rock. As if all of this isn’t enough, Tina also has Moon in Libra which means she’s probably really harmonious and a good person to work with. Venus and Mars in Gemini explain her quick wit and ability to juggle her many talents.

Hm … I’ve got a couple planets in Gemini, a lot of Virgo … and I believe a Libra in there somewhere. I’ll have to do the research but one thing is for sure, Tina Fey’s stars make for one heck of a comedic celebrity. Go Tina! (said in a thick New Yawk accent for full effect)

I have to come clean. I saw the new Star Trek movie. Twice. I couldn’t help it. I’m not even a Trekkie and I thought it was awesome. Star Trek, it may surprise you, actually deals with a range of philosophical, metaphysical and even psychic quandaries. Throughout the movie I felt guilty for having a strange crush on Mr. Spock. Not Leonard Nimoy! Newcomer Zachary Quinto from the TV show Heroes. He killed it as Spock. He brought emotional sensitivity to an emotionless Vulcan. If that’s not talent, I don’t know what is.

I took it upon myself to check out his astrology, and I looked at Leonard Nimoy’s stars for good measure. They didn’t have ANYTHING in common. In fact, Nimoy has an abundance of impulsive Aries – not what you’d expect from a Vulcan, they are supposed to be the most rational beings in the universe after all.

Quinto on the other hand, I could see a direct relationship to the character. A Pluto in Libra placement gives him an interest in psychology and sociology – something Spock is very attune to. Jupiter in Gemini gives him a thirst for knowledge (there’s a great scene where young Spock is in a learning pod absorbing everything about the universe). But my favorite is his Saturn Trine Neptune. According to our Kepler astrology tool, this placement means: “You are philosophical about life and very perceptive, but may have an exaggerated sense of your own wisdom and depth of understanding of religious, metaphysical, artistic, or intuitive subjects.” They should just rename that aspect Spock – talk about being conflicted.

The Astrology of Wolverine!

The new X-Men Wolverine movie comes out today, and I must shamelessly admit, I have every intention of seeing it solely because I love Hugh Jackman. So much. Who else can play a mutant superhero AND sing and tap dance? No one.

So I decided to look at his chart to see if there was some astrological clue as to why he is so awesome. I expected to find Leo stealing the show with every planet … but actually, he’s mostly Libra and Virgo! He’s got Sun, Mercury and Uranus in justice loving Libra, and Mars, Jupiter and Pluto in the sign of the Virgin. I can see where the perfectionism comes into play. But the best thing I found in his chart – he’s got Venus and Neptune in sultry Scorpio. Neptune says he is very intuitive and psychic himself, and Venus says he is a deeply passionate lover. Swoon! I heart you, Wolverine.
