Your Dream Career

Patricia in Woodbridge, Virginia writes:

My dream began with someone telling me that I needed to meet with an important person. Then a coworker told me that I really needed to put my best foot forward, so she offered to help me pick out an outfit to wear to this meeting. I agreed to this, and the dream immediately panned to a room that was not familiar to me. The coworker gave me an outfit, and what I noticed most were the hideous shoes—they were white with a wedge heel and two fat bands that crisscross over the top (something I definitely would not wear). Although the shoes were hideous, I went with it. The dream then panned to a hotel room or maybe a room in an apartment, where the coworker said she was to prepare for the same meeting. She picked out an outfit which was different than mine, with no white shoes. Immediately I wondered why the absence of white shoes, and I wanted to change my outfit. What does this all mean? DreamCast: Pay Attention to Warnings in Dreams

January 21, 2012 at 12:00 am
By Cortney Litwin

Carmen in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania writes:

Recently, I had the most bizarre dream, and I can’t get it out of my head. In the dream, I was sitting in someone’s house with a male friend of mine. The house belonged to his friend, someone I had never seen. I sat facing the door, and to my left, sitting between me and my friend, was another man. The man quietly conversed with my friend when he suddenly grabbed my arm and started to grope me—almost managing to rape me. He said that my friend sold me to him. I got away and ran naked out of the house, trying to cover myself as much as I could.

I arrived at an intersection where there were some festivities happening. On one corner, men and women were dressed in white, chanting and dancing like in a Santeria/spiritual ritual. On another corner, a blind man was telling people about their future. As I stood there, not understanding what was going on, I heard the “Santerios” call out my full name. I turned to look at them, and then the blind man called out my name, too. But there was a woman on the third corner of the intersection that called my name so softly it came across like a whisper. I walked over to her. She was a beautiful black lady dressed in white with a red handkerchief on her head. She grabbed both my hands and started to cry and said, “My poor baby, always a mistress and never a wife.” She looked at the palm of my hand and added, “The spirit of Jezebel will always be attached to you,” and she began to cry even harder. She laid one hand on my forehead and began to pray and chant in a foreign language. I felt something consume me, and then I woke up. Read the rest of this entry »

Love Lessons to Help You Grow

Jessica in West Palm Beach, Florida writes:

I had a dream about my ex-boyfriend—we broke up five months ago. In the dream, we just had great sex and were both smiling and happy. Then suddenly, I found myself in his parents’ mansion, where they had a wake for his father. Every family member of my ex-boyfriend was there, except him. As I looked out into the spacious backyard, his father was being laid to rest in a huge mausoleum. There were hundreds of people waiting to see him. I looked everywhere for my ex, but never found him. What’s the meaning of us having a great intimate moment and then being at his father’s funeral, but he wasn’t part of it?

“Sleep awakens the intuitive nature within each of us.”  Reba ext. 5508

DreamCast: Increase the Power Within You

January 7, 2012 at 12:00 am
By Cortney Litwin

Omal in Cochin, India writes:

I am 32 years old, single and very troubled—emotionally, physically and financially—with no one to console me. Recently, I dreamed I was riding on a very small raft in the middle of the sea, alone and without a destination. Suddenly, bubbles and whirls began to disturb the water before me. I was not frightened, but watched with curiosity. Then the water transformed into a solution of gold, and with a great sound came a huge drum, which resembled a Buddhist prayer wheel made of pure gold. It came up slowly and floated over the water. I wondered, how can I take this to shore?

Hello Omal,

Such a beautiful dream! It’s a reminder, I believe, that you have within you the spiritual power to heal your life. The dream obviously reflects your feeling of isolation. You’re wandering aimlessly through the water (your emotional life), without any goals or a sense of direction. You indicated you’re a Cancer, an emotional water sign. One of your challenges is getting free of emotional issues from the past so you can grow. As such, the small raft likely symbolizes the limited view you have of what your life could be. DreamCast: Travel Dreams, Get on the Right Track for the New Year

December 25, 2011 at 12:00 am
By Cortney Litwin

Are You on the Right Path?

Are you on the right path, one that will lead to joy, prosperity and success in the coming year? The answer can be found within your dreams. After all, your dreams are reflections of your desires, needs and aspirations, as well as messengers from your Higher Self.

Travel dreams are particularly revealing about your life path. Dreaming of a plane (the greater perspective), train (getting on track) or automobile (what’s driving you) will reveal if you’re headed in the right direction, if you need to get clear about your direction, or if you need a change of direction. Pay special attention to how you feel within the dream (and upon waking), who is doing the driving, and the condition of the vehicle and roads. These clues will help uncover the dream’s message. DreamCast: Discover Your Love Style

Find the Right Fit in Love

Heather in Roanoke, Virginia writes:

I met a guy online, and we really get along, but he’s not interested in a long distance relationship. I had a dream that I was competing in a game to win him, and I did. Does this dream mean anything?

Hello Heather,

Your dream is quite revealing, actually; it appears you need a challenge in your relationship, like the thrill of a good chase, for instance. Also, the fact that you’re considering a long distance romance may indicate you’re most comfortable with plenty of freedom, which is typical of Sagittarius, your sun sign. That’s fine as long as it’s not an emotional issue, like fear of intimacy, that fuels this need. Hopefully the guy you ultimately “win” will be okay with this. Read the rest of this entry »

DreamCast: Revitalize Your Love Life

Dead Husband Comes Back to Life

Maggie in Victoria, British Columbia writes:

I dreamt that my husband (who is partly my first husband, who passed away eighteen years ago) had fallen down and stopped breathing. Everyone said that he was dead. I touched his heart and felt nothing. Then I blew into his nose and his mouth, like artificial respiration. After a while he opened his eyes and said, “Thank you so much. I’m back again.”

Hello Maggie,

Do you need to breathe new life into your marriage? Or, if you’re single (you didn’t say if you were married in waking life), perhaps it’s time to revitalize your love life. It seems you’re headed for a delightful “second act” with your husband or someone new. Read the rest of this entry »

DreamCast: Have Faith to Find the Right Man

Are You In Control of Your Destiny?

Gloria in Benin, West Africa writes:

In my dream I got married, but I didn’t see or know the groom. And I didn’t like the wedding gown that was brought for me. Another one was purchased, but I didn’t like that one either, so I went to look for a gown of my choosing. However, when I finally found one, I discovered I was late for my wedding. I awoke as I was complaining about being behind in time.

Hello Gloria,

The wedding gown may be a symbol of your choice in men, or it could symbolize your attitude about marriage in general. In either case, you don’t seem to feel in control of your destiny because someone else is buying the gown for you. This means you’re being influenced by outside forces in regard to marriage. You’re 31 years old. Do you feel pressured by your family to find a husband? Or perhaps you’re seeing your friends get married and start their families, which makes you feel that time is passing you by. Read the rest of this entry »
