Fez the Dog Whisperer?

He’s no pet psychic, but apparently Wilmer Valderrama (remember Fez the foreign exchange student on That 70′s Show?) has signed up to be on a new comedy series spoofing Cesar Millan – the Dog Whisperer himself. The details are still being worked out, but the show will air on Fox.

Pet psychics, any advice on tips to understand and train pets? I think Fez will need all the help he can get.

Understanding Your Pet

I have been reading pets for more than ten years now and would love to help anyone who has issues concerning their pet. A bit of background on me you should know. Since I was a child, I could read animals and of course brought every stray home trying to convince my parents we needed to save them. This did not always work so I did what I could. When I began reading pets for people, I would find, especially with dogs, that most dogs did not understand why their beloved owners did not understand them.

So I felt the need to go further into understanding dogs on a psychological level which led me to finding a trainer that taught K9′s, or as most people know as Police Search and Rescue and service dogs. I studied for 2 years learning the behavior and thought processes of K9′s.

I now realize why dogs don’t understand humans as much as we like them too. Dogs think much different than humans. Dogs live in the moment and don’t worry about what happened in the past, or worry about the future. Also, K9′s think a little differently than regular pets. A pet is just happy to have a home, just laze around the house and eat, play with their owners and of course sleep. The difference is that K9′s truly need a job and have a life purpose similar to humans.

Dog friends Is there a special furry, four-legged someone in your life? Our pets truly can light up our lives with something so simple as a cuddle, a kiss or a wagging tail when you return home. Spiritual author Eckhart Tolle (The Power of Now) has a new book out for all those blessed with the company of a loving pet.

Guardians of Being is a collection of Tolle’s spiritual quotes accompanied by delectable little illustrations by Mutts Comics cartoonist Patrick McDonnell.

Here is a sampling of the enlightenment you’ll find within:

“What is it that so many people find enchanting in animals? Their essence — their Being — is not covered up by the mind, as it is in most humans. And whenever you feel that essence in another, you also feel it in yourself.”

Check out some of the adorable illustrations from Guardians of Being here.

My Psychic Buddy Little Bear

By Psychic Abigail ext. 9570

I’ve been blessed my whole life with wonderful, amazing animals that have enriched my life experiences. This is my personal medium experience with my best friend’s dog Little Bear.

There is nothing little about Little Bear, but this gentle giant was one of my special buddies from the animal world that I loved dearly. Little Bear was bi-lingual – understood English and Spanish … and telepathy. I met Little Bear as a puppy before I moved to Italy.

This amazing animal knew me by name. Whenever I called, my friend would say, “It’s Miss Abigail on the phone.” He would go looking for me, only to look back at my friend with that face,  “No she’s not here what’s the matter with you, mom?!” Now you know what’s coming next right? I went there as I have done with my own animals – I talked to him on the phone. You see I used to brush him, babysit him, take him out (or should I say he took me out, all 150 lbs of him!). When he had an eye infection once, I soaked his eyes with warm tea bags. My friend was grinning from ear to ear shaking her head as she watched this big Rottweiler allow me to do this to him.

Then they decided to get Little Bear a buddy. What a pair an English bulldog and a Rottweiler made. This big dog loved and nurtured this puppy like it was his mother. You see, he was getting ready for Mr. Belvidere to take care of the family when he departed this lifetime.

A few months back, she called and we had our “coffee talk.” She’s a New Yorker who now lives in New England, and I’m a New Englander who now lives in California.

I said, “You know Little Bear visited me in my dreams last night. He came in my room and gave big wet kisses, woke me up and I petted him.” She started to cry,“It’s because he is not doing well and he’s saying good bye to you.” This woman has been my best friend and mentor for many years. Little Bear died 3 days later.

He was able to leave in peace in my friend’s arms, knowing this silly Bulldog named Mr. Belvidere with a big personality would take care of his people for him. I miss my big buddy in the physical sense, yet I know he’ll visit me every now and then.
