Listen to the Messages in Dreams

I remember having a very profound dream when I was about six years old. I was stuck in a log. No matter what I did, I just couldn’t get out. I began to scream for help. I soon noticed that the louder and harder I screamed, the bigger my body became, and that it was even more difficult to remove myself from the log. Suddenly, a voice inside of me spoke, saying “be still, be quiet, be at peace and pray.” I was too young to know the biblical saying, “Be still and know that I am God,” however, my six-year-old intelligence was telling me just that. In the dream I became still, and the stiller and more peaceful I was in the dream, the smaller my body became. Within a few seconds, I was small enough to crawl out of the hollowed log.

This dream has stayed with me throughout my life. I share my dream when I wish to teach that we all have this knowingness inside of us. It is there, ready for us to ask information of it and this internal knowingness has all the answers that we would ever need. Read the rest of this entry »

Balancing the Scales

I’m often asked by clients “When will he or she get what they deserve? They broke my heart; they lied and cheated, or they were abusive, stole my money, and were living a double life. The relationship was always about them. They moved in and now I can’t get them to move out. How can they get away with this?” Many of us have likely experienced some of this and have asked one or two of those questions ourselves. Is there payback? Does karma work? Is it true what you put out into the world comes back to you? The answer is most definitely a resounding yes!

The laws of karma, cause and effect are always working in our lives. In some circles it is referred to as the law of justice and balance. It might take eons of time for a situation to become balanced, or it might happen quickly and suddenly. The law applies not only to deeds, but to words and thoughts as well. Karma carries forward from the past and into the future, as far in both directions as one can imagine. The law transcends time and space. No one is exempt. Can a Shamanic Trance Help You?

The Skills of the Shaman

One of my favorite things to do is take people through a shamanic trance. I have a close spirit guide named Sam. He’s a cutie! Long, brown hair and big brown eyes, about 5’9”, and athletic. He first started visiting me in my early twenties. (If you would like to try a shamanic trance with me and Sam, please let me know at the beginning of the reading. They can take some time to get through.)

Shamans and our guides travel through the lower, middle and upper worlds. I mainly focus on the lower worlds for my trances. I’d like to explain how I do this over the phone for any of you who are curious about trying this with me. First, my guide and I enter the middle world, which we perceive as a fog. The lower world then opens up to what I call your “realm” or “place.”

As a medium, I frequently interact with guides and angels, and engage in conversations with Spirit as if I were casually speaking to a friend. You would think that these daily encounters have seasoned me, almost to a point of routine. Was I mistaken. A recent encounter with Mary… Yes! The Holy Mary completely reshaped my perception regarding communication with divine. This visit from Mary required a new level analysis in my spirituality. As I tried to understand the significance of her visitation, I was unable to get beyond the shocking awe of her manifestation.

Mary encapsulated my thoughts and heart for the following month. I was seeing images of her everywhere. I would pray to her, listened to sacred hymns, read daily devotional biblical passages, and lit prayer candles. Out of the blue, a friend gifted me with a necklace of Mary, a connection unknown to her. It began to feel as if her energy was fading, and I was desperate to discover the personal significance of this encounter. You’re Settling, What Gives?

Are You Giving Up On Yourself?

It seems to me that there can be a number of reasons why we settle. However, the number one common factor seems to be a fear of abandonment or being alone. Many of us stay in unfullfilling, worn-out relationships just to have “someone” in our lives. Worse yet, many of us continue to pursue relationships with individuals who “never show up.”

We are all born with intuition, the “fight or flight” signals that go off when we’re in a situation that does not suit us. More importantly, the pains of anxiety cripple us and leave us stuck, sad and confused! Why is it that we’re willing to settle or remain in a unhappy situation? The change must come from ourselves.
