Jupiter Goes Retrograde

July 23, 2010 at 11:00 am
By Elmo Anderson

Jupiter goes retrograde today, and will stay in this position until November 18.

Jupiter is the planet of material wealth and success; its retrograde position suggests a backing away from focus on dominance of the material world… and a chance to refocus on the spiritual. Now is the time to tend to the intangibles, like what’s going on in your own heart and mind and the hearts and minds of those around you. Read the rest of this entry »

Are You a Modern Mystic?

July 22, 2010 at 1:00 pm
By Colleen M. Quill

What is a “modern mystic,” and what qualities do you need to become one? Professional modern mystics are a combination of life coaches and psychologists – who are also in touch with the spiritual, paranormal and metaphysical realms. They are able to help clients enrich their lives by tapping into their hopes and dreams.

Sound easy? It’s a little more complicated than you might think. Mystics tap into the full range of human emotions to unlock and awaken people’s capacity for self-discovery on the journey of life. Read the rest of this entry »

The Golden Age of 2012 Starts Now!

July 21, 2010 at 5:00 am
By Staff

In Ancient Egypt, they knew that just as the Sun sets in the West, a new dawn would follow. The only reference to death in the older Egyptian Sufi language was to say that the individual went “west-ing.” They had no word for death in their language.

From this so called “primitive” philosophy and concept, the pyramids of Egypt were created – feats of men that were once thought to only be accomplishable by Gods. Even now, we don’t possess the technology to recreate a pyramid like the one on the plains of Giza in Egypt. There is so much to be said for this idea of man having an existence that transcends death. There is much power and wisdom available to a human being when he or she aspires to a nature higher than that of an animal. Read the rest of this entry »

Secrets of the Health Gurus

July 18, 2010 at 5:00 am
By Phoenix Adoni

When I first met Jimmy Rotello, my spiritual health guru, at a Starbucks in LA, I had no idea that my health was about to change for the better. At the time, I experienced severe brain-fog and moodiness. Being overweight and spiritually disconnected, I was aware of a sugar addiction which suddenly hit critical mass. I bumped into Jimmy by accident, and we began talking.

I learned that Jimmy held a diploma in oriental medicine, and was certified in environmental illness and natural medicine. Curious, I asked him how he became involved in the field. Read the rest of this entry »

Let Your Heart Breathe

July 16, 2010 at 11:11 am
By Phoenix Adoni

This is the fourth in Phoenix Adoni’s series on the heart chakra. (See the other parts here, here and here.) In this installment, Phoenix looks at breathing exercises to open, balance and heal the heart chakra.

Deep Breathing

Breathing is considered, in Hinduism as well as many other cultures, to be the most important basis for life and creation, and as the connection between mind, body and spirit. However, most of us suffer from shallow breathing, which stays trapped in the chest, leaving our diaphragms ignored and constricted. This shallow breathing is typically developed and becomes habitually automatic due to stress, depression, anxiety, smoking and overactive mental activity. Read the rest of this entry »

Is There Justice in the Universe?

July 14, 2010 at 3:22 pm
By Psychic Phillip ext. 9485

Is there justice in the universe? Or do we live in a universe of pure chaos? Psychic Phillip weighs in on the issue, explaining that there IS justice… as long as you have the right attitude:

“I have repeatedly made the statement to people that ‘There IS justice in this universe. There had better be, or we are ALL in a lot of trouble.’ I personally believe that most, if not all, of the readers here assume full responsibility for everything good or bad that comes their way. Energetically, we all attract what we need to grow and transform. When we fight what the universe brings us and resist the transformation, we experience misery. When we accept responsibility and make the necessary changes, peace follows. This is how we master ourselves. This is how we master our lives. Everything that has ever happened to me, good and bad, is MY fault. With that insight comes true liberation. I am in full control to change whatever is not working for me. No one to blame. No excuses. No ‘whining.’”

What do you think – can we achieve personal empowerment this way?

Breaking Off Relationships

July 14, 2010 at 5:00 am
By Phoenix Adoni

This is the third part of Phoenix Adoni’s series on the fourth chakra. Read the previous parts here: Part One and Part Two.

Endings

We’ve all suffered the endings of relationships and the broken hearts which accompany them. What usually happens is that we disconnect from our heart chakra, which ceases the energetic dance of the heart, while we sit in misery and self-pity, vowing to never love again.

When this happens, we do the greatest damage to ourselves and our heart, as the fourth chakra is our center and our core, and when this chakra is thrown too far out of alignment, it throws our entire chakra system, both upper and lower, out of alignment, only further perpetuating the cycle of suffering.
