Spiritual Effects of Psychedelic Music

“Psychedelic, man!” An expression heard seldom in the year 2010 was once the depiction of what some would call a generation devoted to spiritual freedom, creative expression and many attempts to reach that higher level of consciousness … one way or another. What happened to the magnificent musical trips so many manifested in the 60′s and 70′s? Drug users aside, not all found it necessary to use hallucinogens to let the music of Pink Floyd, Cream, or The Beatles take them on a spiritual ride through imagination and fantasy.

An article I came across on TusconCitizen.com talks about the effects, benefits and experimentation of how psychedelic music does more for you than just paint a pretty picture in your mind — it could actually help you reach your spiritual goals. The author of the article, Tyler Woods, describes his experience with psychedelic music … “It allowed your spiritual being to expand and develop. The possibilities became endless. I think that is why as a kid listening to psychedelic rock, I felt like I was tripping because I got the spiritual aspect of this music. It really was like finding God without even looking.” Read the rest of this entry »

Trust the Divine Within

As many of us have sensed in one way or another, everything happens for a reason. There is intent and purpose to all that exists. The difficult part is in realizing this, is not allowing fear, fantasy or analytical thoughts to creep in which can hinder you in many ways. It’s important not to set your rules of behavior or determine your thought patterns through means of fear.

This planet is a living spiritual being. Life in so many forms has sprung forth on its surface. Everything needed for survival is available to us. I also believe that our planet is a beacon of sorts, which attracts not only ‘earth bound’ spiritual guidance, but also guidance from other realms. The ‘Earth Being’ is home to so many species and life forms, humans being the strangest of them all — which is truly remarkable once you think about it. Psychics Help Dutch Prisoners

March 30, 2010 at 5:16 pm
By Justine McKnight

The Daily Telegraph reports that psychics are being used in Dutch prisons to assist prisoners in connecting with their deceased loved ones.

The goal is to make new strides in rehabilitating criminals, and connecting them with a source of familiarity (for example, connecting them to a deceased parent) brings them to a place of peace … and some even to tears.

An interesting remark made by a spokesman for the Dutch justice ministry, “This is not something which fits in our treatment field,” shows their apprehension about the new solution.

What do you think psychics? Do you think this is a good stride forward in the acceptance of psychics into the medical world? Bloggers, what do you think of this tactic?

Is Heaven in Your Head?

March 30, 2010 at 1:24 pm
By Justine McKnight

A very interesting article titled Can Science Explain Heaven? from Newsweek.com, touches on the idea of whether or not science will ever be able to explain heaven. Author Lisa Miller of Heaven: Our Enduring Fascination With the Afterlife, describes the theory of Andrew Newberg, associate professor in the radiology department at the University of Pennsylvania, who takes a closer look at the neurological activity of the brain once it begins to die.

In short, scientists have been able to establish the protective, self-defense chemicals the brain releases as it begins to shut down — as a result, these chemical releases could be the cause of the consistent physical sensations (out-of-body sensation, tunnel vision, bright light, powerful amounts of contentment and inner peace) reported by those who have had near-death experiences. Just a theory, but questionable none the less!

Psychic Jacqueline ext. 9472 describes part of her near-death experience as ”… all of your senses are very much a part of heaven. You not only see the beautiful flowers, you actually hear the music they are singing. The flowers greet you, and you are a part of them — they are your brothers and sisters. The smells are so unbelievably and euphorically fragrant.”

What do you think psychics? Could science conclude that brain responses are responsible for the ‘heaven’ people report? Bloggers, do you have any input?

Tarot is a Tool of Change

March 29, 2010 at 4:15 pm

My readings are from a cross-cultural perspective and therefore I prefer to use the Crowley deck. There are 78 cards in this deck. They contain Egyptian, Grecian, Eastern, Medieval, and Christian symbols. This is the only deck that I’ve found to incorporate numerology, alchemy, astrology, and the Cabala within it. I view Tarot readings as a self-help tool, not just a fortune-telling device. To use them in that way would be to misunderstand and misuse them. The symbols are a psychological mechanism for transforming energy. Read the rest of this entry »

What Happens When You Pass?

March 29, 2010 at 11:39 am

As a Medium, I’ve learned that each person’s individual experience after their passage is very different, and that the way each person passes has a lot to do with their “afterlife” circumstances. Some people pass on, and within hours they’re playing with lights, sending pennies, and appearing in their loved ones dreams, while others never make any contact with the living. I’ve also learned that the actual experience of dying is an extremely euphoric sensation, a release that we never experience anything like until we pass on.

I’ve learned as much from the dead as from the living, even though I’m 46 and didn’t start channeling until I was around 29. Sometimes discarnate souls are almost exactly the same in death as they were in life — and sometimes they’re radically different, regardless of how enlightened or lost they may have been in life. But by far, the most important two things I know, I learned from a famous old man named Dr. Peebles — the spirit most people channel first when we learn. He taught me that old souls, such as myself, are slow learners, and to make a loving allowance for all things to be in their own time and place.

If I could teach anything I know from Spirit to callers it would be that our relatives who’ve passed on aren’t necessarily enlightened by their passage. The best guidance we can receive comes from Spirit Guides, not our loved ones.

Heavenly Choir of Angels

March 28, 2010 at 12:46 pm
By Staff

One March morning, I was aroused from a very sound sleep by a continuous knocking on my front door. As I scattered my clothing across the bed, I found an appropriate robe to answer the door in. Whomever it was would just not go away. I was miffed as I stumbled to answer the seemingly urgent knock. As I peeked around the chain through the partially open door, there stood what looked to be a 1920′s kamikaze pilot … standing there in the blustering wind. He wore an old leather aviator’s hat that dropped down below his ears. The strap under his chin was broken and it blew in the wind.

I stood back behind the door, and I wondered why I hadn’ t closed the door straight away. Something held my attention. I took another peek. He was tall and skinny, and his clothes were tattered. On his feet he wore a pair of old, rugged, high-top army boots.

As I tried backing out of communicating with him, I kept hearing my wind chimes blowing and tinkling from my back deck, and also some that sounded even closer. I looked again at the tall gentleman, and there in his hand was a rusty hanger with the most beautiful crystal wind chimes that I had ever seen, or heard, in my life.
