Do You Believe in Signs?
I sometimes get asked by a caller if something is a sign. Marianne (not her real name) was worried if her longtime boyfriend would ever actually marry her. One day she went to the beach to meditate about this. Suddenly, much to her amazement, a dolphin leaped out of the wave in front of her and looked her right in the eye. Marianne has always felt closeness to dolphins. She was comforted by the presence of this dolphin and felt that he was there just for her. In that moment she just knew that Justin (not his real name) would marry her - she felt it in the very core of her being. She felt that the sudden appearance of the dolphin in her hour of greatest need was a good sign. The next month on her birthday Justin proposed to her.
Several years before Marianne was trying to decide if she should marry her then boyfriend Adrian who had proposed. She loved him but was worried because she felt that his priorities were a little different from hers. As she was driving down a street near her home, she came to an obstruction in the road - a huge tree had fallen across the road and she could not proceed. All day before this happened Marianne had been debating what to say to Adrian. Marianne took this as a sign that she was not supposed to marry him. She was able to part from Adrian amicably and today he is married to someone with whom he is more compatible.
My friend Megan goes by license plates. She says that every time she needs an answer about something important she can get a sign from a license plate. Several years ago she had to decide if she should leave a secure job and go into a business that she had always dreamed about since she was a little girl. One day she was stopped at a red light and there in front of her was a license plate that said “Go4it”. She immediately quit her job and today has a very successful beauty salon.
My friend Emily was thinking of becoming a practitioner counselor with the Agape Center of Truth in the Los Angeles area. She had been deeply moved by the Sunday talks of Rev. Michael Beckwith (who has been on Oprah and on CNN recently). It would be a big time commitment for her and she was debating what to do. Driving into Agape from Malibu is about a 30 mile drive. Amazingly she got green lights the whole way! She did not have to stop at a single red light. Emily took this as a sign that she was meant to take the courses to become a practitioner. She completed the work and it has brought many blessings into her life.
Laura (not her real name), one of my Tarot callers, said that she had a brother Jack who was going through a rough time. He had called her to ask if he could live with her while he got his life together. Having a good heart, Laura was automatically inclined to say “yes” but something made her hesitate. She called a friend, needing someone to run it by. As Laura was talking to her friend, suddenly her huge bathroom mirror slid down the wall. Almost simultaneously a flower vase in her kitchen shattered without anything touching it. Laura took this as a sign that she should not have her brother come and live with her. Several months later it came to light that Jack had a drug problem. Laura was very grateful that she had been given some warning signs.
I would love to hear of any signs that other people have been given. I believe in signs.
